Free Market: A Myth

--

Free markets have always been a myth. When you ACTUALLY study them instead of entertaining dogmatic political rhetoric, you’ll see that they’re fundamentally dependent on impossible assumptions:

• perfect information for consumers

• rational consumers

• zero barriers to entry for businesses

• perfect consumer access to goods and services

We all know these aren’t the case, but we still talk about “free markets” as some sort of glorious past we once achieved. It’s a myth. It’s always been a myth.

Stop believing that government is the only reason we haven’t achieved a perfect economy.
